Successful Henchmen Series Bands Together Six-Issue Collected Edition Available in December
INDIANAPOLIS (October 5, 2015) – Henchmen, the six-issue series about the average joes just trying to make a decent living behind the scenes in a ridiculous world of super villains, will be available as a collected edition December 16, 2015. The book, Henchmen: I, Henchbot, will be available in Diamond Comic Distributor’s October issue of Previews (Item #OCT151621), and can be pre-ordered at HenchmenComic.com as well as during an October Kickstarter campaign.
Writer, satirist and stand-up comedian Jamison Raymond flips the concept of the “anonymous henchman” on its head in Henchmen: I, Henchbot with a brilliantly subversive world where the reality of marital and financial struggles is set against a backdrop of absurdly villainous robot bowling pins and android swordsmen.
“…an entertaining story that is both simple in execution and original in the spin that it puts on the henchmen who serve the super-villains.”
Comic book legend Mark Waid (Marvel Comics’ The Avengers, DC Comics’ The Flash) will be providing a foreword for the book. Supporters of Henchmen: I, Henchbot also have the opportunity to get exclusive content and prints during an October Kickstarter campaign, including work from Darick Robertson (DC Comics’ Transmetropolitan, Marvel’s X-Men, Image Comics’ Happy!), Jim Mahfood (Clerks, Grrl Scouts, Jennifer’s Body), Ryan Browne (God Hates Astronauts) and others.
“When we first created Henchmen, we were fortunate enough to be funded via the Kickstarter community. We are looking forward to our fans’ continued support in helping us create this special collected edition,” said Brian Wyrick, co-creator and owner/publisher at Robot Paper. “This series is and always will be a fan-backed endeavor, and we plan to provide our supporters of the collection with exclusive content and reward opportunities.”
Henchmen: I, Henchbot (ISBN Number 978-0-9896370-3-9 51499) is a trade paperback including all seven issues of the Henchmen comic series and will be in stores December 16, 2015. Retailers can order with Diamond Code OCT151621.
Henchmen was created by the Robot Paper comic book studio.
